BylawRef โ Officer Field Reference
BylawRef is a mobile-friendly reference system designed to help municipal officers quickly locate bylaw offences, applicable charge wordings, and supporting resources while in the field.
Instead of searching through long bylaws or scattered documents, officers can quickly find the information they need from a phone, in-car computer, or desktop.
The result: faster enforcement, more consistent application of bylaws, and less time spent searching for information.
Offence Lookup & Ticket Helper
Quickly locate the correct offence and its applicable charge wording while in the field. Reduce typos, minimize court issues, and ensure tickets are issued correctly the first time. Optimized for phones, in-car computers, tablets, and desktops.
Resources & Custom Pages
Store resources at the organization, law, or offence level. Link to external webpages or internal notes. Upload files of any common type including PDFs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or plain text. Custom pages allow you to provide internal guidance, procedures, or training material, all in an easy-to-use editor.
Groups & Access Control
Organize officers, laws, and resources into groups, so each team only sees the information relevant to their role. Example groups include Parking, Property Standards/Zoning, General Duty, Animal Control, or specialized enforcement units. This keeps the interface clean and focused, even for large organizations.
